Year 7 September 2017

We have 200 places available in year 7 for September 2017. If you would like to apply, please use the secondary Common Application Form that you will receive from your child’s primary school and return to your local authority.

If the school is oversubscribed, places will be allocated by applying the following admission criteria in order:

Priority 1A 'looked after child' or a child who was previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption residence, or special guardianship order.

Priority 2Children who have an older brother or sister from the same address who will be on the roll of the Academy at the date of admission (the sibling rule)

Priority 3Children living in the school’s priority admission area (PAA) covering East Bierley, Birkenshaw, Gomersal and Birstall.

Priority 4Children living outside the priority admission area who reside nearest to the school based on the straight line distance from the home address to the Academy.

Transition

Making the move to secondary school can be a challenging time for both parents and pupils. At BBG Academy we work closely with primary schools to make sure the transition from year 6 to year 7 is a smooth and positive experience for all.

In-year Applications

BBG Academy is a popular school, however, spaces do become available at times.

If you would like to apply, in-year application forms (for Year 7-11) are available from the school office or you can download here.

In the case that your application is not successful, you will be added to our waiting list and will be contacted if a place becomes available.

Please return your completed application form to the school office.
